OLAC Best Practice for expression manifested

Follow LC-PCC practice. Core if more than one expression of the work is manifested. If more than one expression is embodied in the manifestation, record the predominant or first-named expression manifested. For more guidance, see LC-PCC MGD: Aggregates

For compilations, record a formal contents note as a Manifestation: note on manifestation in the MARC 505 field, unless contents are indicated in another part of the description. For streaming media, record descriptions of accessibility content in a MARC 532 field.

Apply the option for video recordings. For video recordings, record authorized access points for different language expressions of a film within a manifestation for soundtracks only, not for subtitles. For streaming media, record descriptions of accessibility content in the MARC 341 field. Do not apply the option for streaming media contained within a larger database. For compilations and whole-part relationships, record each expression manifested as an Expression: authorized access point for expression, preceded by the relationship label "contains."
