Parallel titles from any source in the resource may be transcribed in field 245 $b or $c, without square brackets. Parallel titles should also be encoded in field 246 with indicators 31 to ensure proper indexing.
Parallel titles from a different source than the title proper may alternatively be given only in field 246 1_ with an introductory phrase in subfield $i, rather than in field 245.

In MARC: Record a note in field 500 or an introductory phrase in field 246 1_ subfield $i. Use of 246 $i may be preferable when multiple parallel titles appear in different sources, making precise data provenance difficulty to clearly convey in a single note.
