LC/PCC practice: Apply the option. When the name of an individual performer appears in conjunction with the name of a performing group, unless there is other evidence generally do not consider the person's name to be part of the name of the group.

For a corporate body located in a country where orthographic reform has taken place, and the first resource received gives the name of the corporate body in the old orthography, record the preferred name in that form and use it as the basis for the Corporate Body: authorized access point for corporate body. Make a Corporate Body: variant access point for corporate body from the form in the reformed orthography.

When the first resource with the reformed orthography is received, change the authorized access point for corporate body to that form. Use judgment in making a variant access point for corporate body from the earlier form.
