LC/PCC practice: When recording a value of key of expression in an access point or as a separate element use the following format for major or minor keys of Western music:

1. the tonal center given as an upper case letter, followed by the sharp or flat symbol, as applicable
2. the words major or minor, in lower case, as applicable.
