LC/PCC Core for Sequence subelements. Manifestation: first alphanumeric designation of sequence, Manifestation: first chronological designation of sequence, Manifestation: last alphanumeric designation of sequence, and Manifestation: last chronological designation of sequence are core. Alternative sequence subelements are optional.

PCC practice: The earliest part or iteration of a sequence available from:

• the earliest available part or
• the LC-PCC bibliographic description for the earliest available part with a description that conforms to RDA

should be the preferred source for evidence of numbering of sequence when creating a new description of a series.
