OLAC Best Practice for production statement

See instructions for recording Manifestation: place of production, Manifestation: name of producer, or Manifestation: date of production. If it is unknown whether a videodisc or tangible video game is published or unpublished, assume that it is published. If it is unknown whether an object is published or unpublished, assume it is unpublished. In general, do not provide a production statement for naturally occurring objects.

Do not use square brackets for supplied information in a description for an unpublished resource.
