Routinely record the element in authority records if used as a component of an authorized or variant access point. Record the element in other cases if readily ascertainable.
In bibliographic records: Record the element if deemed useful for identification or selection.

In MARC: Record as an identifier using field 383 subfield $c. Consult Thematic Indexes Used in Library of Congress NACO Authority Files ; if the index is listed there, also record the code assigned to the index in field 383 subfield $d and indicate the source of information using the $2 code mlati.
