For printed text volumes, the preferred source of information for title elements is the title page. In the absence of a title page, record a title appearing in the manifestation, following this order of preference: colophon, source within the preliminaries, caption title, cover (if issued by publisher), and the rest of the manifestation. For multiple-unit monographs, prefer a source of information in the first volume. For printed text single-sheet manifestations, the preferred source of information is the manifestation itself. See DCRMR 0.1.3 , 0.1.5 , 1.01.1 .
